The Microduino Sensor Gesture is a small yet powerful module from the mCookie family that brings touch-free interaction to your builds. A high-sensitivity optical chip with four photodiodes reads the direction of your hand movements, so simple swipes up, down, left, or right can control robots, lights, displays, and more. It even senses nearby objects and ambient light for extra versatility.
Communication runs over the I2C protocol at speeds up to 400 kHz, connecting to the mCookie Hub through a standard 4-pin sensor cable. Thanks to the stackable, magnetized mCookie design with spring-loaded pogo pins and a building-block friendly housing, assembly takes seconds and no soldering is required.
Perfect for beginners, educators, and makers alike, this module adds an expressive, contactless dimension to any electronics project. A Core module and Hub are required to use it.
